Launch of "WSP Project" Slated for May

dotWorks.net Web Solutions will offer itself as a complete "Web Service Provider" to clients and business partners in May by launching a new program to help small businesses "mix-and-match" services that they otherwise would be unable to afford.

"We're seeing a lot of cases where a client's vision demands a certain resource, but the price tag for that resource is too high," says Jason Melendez, director of Internet Software Development. "The big guys have dedicated database servers, J2EE servers, servlet engines, merchant services...the list goes on and on. We're going to give all our clients access to the resources that we have available; at a fraction of the cost for them to obtain these resources on their own."

What dotWorks proposes is a "menu" of services that clients can select from, with each service costing a small monthly rate. Clients will be able to pick and choose services that suit their needs at any given time, and cancel services at any time as well.

Smaller businesses looking to stretch the value of their dollar usually can't afford the high costs of maintaining their own servers and high speed Internet connections. In addition, most hosting companies charge top dollar for services like database access, Java Servlet engines, and merchant card services...which are often required for a particular site or application. Often, the "packages" provided by these companies offer too much or not enough, and the client almost always pays the price in higher service rates.

"The WSP project will give our clients only what they need: no more, no less, and will save them money. It will shift the focus back to what's important: implementing a great site or web app to meet their needs."
