This particular client is a retired architectural and mechanical draftsman with a passion for painting and sculpting. His vision was an online public gallery through which he could display his work and receive commission offers and job requests. He also envisioned an online repository for his collection of AutoCAD drawings, whose contents could be browsed and displayed to anyone over the Web.

Our solution was a stylish, highly customizable interface that allowed the posting and viewing of his workmanship. The AutoCAD drawings presented a challenge: we employed a Java applet to translate native AutoCAD files directly to their zoomable vector images in the visitor's browser window. Our client's online portfolio was an immediate success, enabling him to display his work and talents to anyone with an Internet connection...no special software tools required.

Now if we could just get him to design our new studio...
